How it all began…
1971 Walt Disney World Preview Center. A young Steve B. (aka Dad, Papa, That Military Guy) made his first visit that spring to the Walt Disney World Preview Center to see all about what the future held. His eyes were full of wonder as he took in all of the photos, concept art, and models. A lifelong love of Disney had begun.
1972-1978 Walt Disney World
Steve’s family continued Spring Break trips to Central Florida, and a day in the Magic Kingdom was always part of the trip. Steve’s now departed parents were the first Disney generation in the family. Steve was a huge fan of the Apollo Program, which was in full swing at the time, so naturally Tomorrowland was his favorite land!
1985 The Tomorrowland Terrace
After finishing an enlistment in the US Air Force, Steve relocated to Orlando and began working at Walt Disney World, which had grown somewhat since his childhood. He worked at the Tomorrowland Terrace (which is now named Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café). Steve and Tracy met during this time and soon married.
After three years at Disney World, Steve got the opportunity to fly with the Air Force. But during this time, many trips were made to WDW on vacation.
After many years of helping friends plan their Disney vacations, Steve started the Military Disney Tips website to help the military community.

Tracy (That Nana) grew up in FL. Her first trip to WDW happened in 1972 with her grandparents. There were several other trips to Disney with family and friends over the years. Including special events. Marching with her high school band in the Bicentennial parade at the Magic Kingdom and attending Grad Night.
She met Steve in the military and they were married and spent the day after their wedding at EPCOT. So many memories have taken place at WDW and so many more to come.
Along come the kids.
